Community Easter Egg Hunt: The egg hunt is held the Saturday before Easter on one of the recreation ball fields and is free for children eleven year old and younger. |
| Patriotic Celebration: This event is held at the Millen/Jenkins County Recreation Department about the middle of July. The big feature is a fireworks show and patriotic music. Admission is free. |
| Local Craft Fair: The Fair-on-the-Square is held the first Saturday of October every year. The Fair attracts crafters from all over Georgia and the date is a popular one for class reunions and church homecomings. |
| Harvest of Fun: In lieu of "trick or treating" children are invited to celebrate Halloween night on Cotton Avenue where civic groups, businesses, and churches provide free games and candy. |
| Christmas in Millen: Santa comes to town (Cotton Avenue) the first Friday night in December. As children give their wish lists to Santa the Jenkins County Middle School and High School bands and choruses present their Christmas concerts. |
