the Bookmobile

Home |
The bookmobile provides service
to community stops, schools, day cares and retirement
centers in Jenkins County and Screven County. The
service is provided to patrons Monday-Friday, on a two
week rotation schedule.
The
bookmobile collection includes popular books, large
print books, accelerated reading books, children’s
award winners, videos, audio books, read-alongs (books
with a companion cassette), educational compact discs,
educational learning toys, magazines and local
newspapers. Most items not found on the bookmobile may
be requested.

Stop Cancellation Information
|
|
|
If a bookmobile visit is
canceled because of weather conditions or mechanical
problems, items returned on the next visit will not be
considered late. Cancellations are announced as soon
as possible on local radio stations WZBX 106.5 FM and
WSYL 1490 AM in Screven County or WHKN 94.9 FM in
Jenkins County.

Bookmobile
Borrowing Policies
|
|
|
Patrons must present a valid
Screven-Jenkins Regional Library System PINES card in
order to check materials off the bookmobile.
Patrons must present a library card in his/her
name to check out or renew. Please do not lend your
card to others. Patrons are responsible for all
transactions on his/her library card even if
someone else was using the card.
Materials are due the next time the bookmobile
returns to your stop.
Materials may also be returned to the libraries
in Sylvania and Millen.

May be renewed twice. Books include
paperbacks, large print and read-alongs.

Audio
books:
2 per card. May be renewed once.

CD-ROMs:
3
per card. May be renewed once.

Electronic
learning toys:
1 per card. May not be reserved or renewed

Magazines:
Current issues may not be checked out. Older issues
may be renewed once.

Newspapers:
May not be checked out.

Videos:
1 per card.
May not be reserved or renewed
